Our Story

An 8.5-hectare estate near the Garonne in Saint-Martin-de-Sescas, Château Contier is sustainably farmed by a Brazilian-born winegrower who has lived in Bordeaux with his wife and children since 2017.

The brand pays tribute to his ancestors, who emigrated from France to Brazil at the end of the 19th century and worked in the French wine trade there.

Nearly 150 years later…

Today, the wine produced by the family is once again enjoyed in France, Brazil and around the world.

A de Château Contier

Rosé

Grapes: Merlot · Cabernet Franc

Alcohol: 12.5% vol.

The grapes are harvested before dawn to prevent the skins from breaking and to avoid possible oxidation. They are then pressed immediately to achieve controlled extraction of the desired color and aromas. After this brief maceration, the solids are separated and only the juice is transferred to temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation.

Once fermentation is complete, this small production is filtered, resulting in 8,000 bottles. The wine offers wild-berry aromas, especially strawberry and raspberry, with good acidity and a fresh finish.

Perfect with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood and poultry.

Crémant de Bordeaux

The early harvest is carried out by hand in small crates to prevent the grape skins from breaking and to preserve their quality. The grapes are pressed and the first vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, producing the base wine.

The second fermentation takes place in the bottle using the traditional method employed in Champagne, followed by a minimum of 12 months in an underground limestone cellar where humidity and temperature remain constant throughout the year. This long period in contact with the lees produces a delicate, dry sparkling wine with persistent bubbles and aromas of white flowers and exotic fruits.

On the palate, it shows a fine balance between distinctive character and elegance, with a long-lasting sensation of freshness.

Perfect in any season with seafood, cold starters, canapés, pâtés, assorted cheeses, as well as fruit- or chocolate-based desserts.
